Common questions

Answers before you reach out.

Quick, honest answers to the questions providers and organizations ask us most.

How does pay work for evaluation contracts?

Independent evaluation work is paid per DBQ, meaning per completed evaluation, rather than as a salary or by the hour. It is a 1099 independent contractor arrangement, so you are compensated for each evaluation you complete and document.

Do I need my own office?

It depends on the role. Some opportunities ask you to use your own office, while others offer per diem space at a coordinated location so you can use a ready exam room on the days you are scheduled. The expectation is set up front for each role.

What licensure or credentials do I need?

Requirements depend on your specialty, but current, active licensure in good standing is always required. The coordination process handles license verification and the rest of credentialing, and we tell you exactly what to have ready.

Are these positions employee or 1099?

These are independent 1099 contracts. You run your own small business, control your availability, and are responsible for your own taxes and coverage, with the autonomy that independent work provides.

How do I express interest if I don't see a perfect match?

We welcome interest nationwide and across specialties, even when nothing on the board fits perfectly today. Use the express interest path on our providers or opportunities page and we will reach out when something fits.

What does Fractional HR leadership include?

Fractional HR leadership is strategic, leadership level HR direction, not admin only support. It covers employee relations, compliance, performance management, and HR operations, delivered at the level of commitment your organization actually needs.
